We know these houses
Riverside and Avondale are among Jacksonville’s oldest neighborhoods — craftsman bungalows, Prairie and Tudor homes, brick streets, and old-growth oaks, most of it built between the 1900s and the 1930s. Much of it sits inside a historic overlay, and the character is the whole point of living here.
That character comes with age. Behind the plaster you find old wiring, dated plumbing, and floors that have settled over a century. We plan for that going in, and we remodel in a way that keeps what makes the house special instead of stripping it out.
We also build so moisture doesn’t win. In this climate, an old home near the river needs the waterproofing and sealing done right, or you’re fighting rot and mold a year later.
