Scope
One crew from demo to final trim. Here is what this work covers.

Waterproofed, sloped to drain, and tiled floor to ceiling.

Porcelain, ceramic, and large-format, set flat with tight joints.

Kitchen and bath, mosaic or straight-set, cut clean around outlets.

Hand-laid patterns and stone-look tile.

Membrane on every wet wall and shower floor before any tile.
Materials
The part you do not see is what holds the finish together. We do not cut it.

Membrane on every wet wall and shower floor before any tile, because in Florida a shower that skips it leaks.

The tile laid out before adhesive so the pattern and the cuts land where they should.

Tile set to a level line, mitred outside corners on stone, clean cuts around fixtures.

Porcelain, ceramic, mosaic, and natural stone, matched to the job.

Shower floors sloped to drain so water goes where it should.

Grout color confirmed against your sample, lines kept straight, sealed where it makes sense.

Juan Gomez has set tile and remodeled on the First Coast since 2016. Straight lines and dry showers come from the prep — the layout and the waterproofing you don’t see once the tile’s on.

FAQs
What clients ask about scope, timeline, and how the work runs.
Showers and tub surrounds, floors, kitchen and bath backsplashes, feature walls, and fireplace facing. Porcelain, ceramic, mosaic, and natural stone tile. If it takes tile, we set it.
With a proper membrane on every wet wall and the shower floor before a single tile goes on, and a pan sloped to drain. In Florida, moisture wins if you skip this. It's the step that keeps a shower from leaking behind the wall — we never cut it.
Usually, yes. When a shower leaks, it's almost always because the waterproofing was skipped or done wrong. We tear out the failed work, show you what we find, waterproof it correctly, and re-tile. Covering it back up isn't a fix.
We dry-lay the tile first so you can see the layout before anything's set, plan the cuts so they fall where they're least visible, and set to a level line. On outside corners we mitre the tile instead of hiding the edge under a bead of caulk.
We confirm the grout color against a sample before we bag it, keep the lines consistent, and seal where it makes sense. Straight, even grout lines are most of what makes a tile job look right or look rushed.
Yes. HammerHead is licensed in Florida and carries insurance. We'll confirm it before we start.
